Summary
This article provides a list of the source of funding (SoF) codes that apply to TEC funds, and where to find historic SoF codes.
It also advises where to find out which learners should be reported under SoF 03, and how to report Managed Apprenticeships.
What are the SoF codes?
The table below shows the SoF codes for TEC funds.

Where do I find the sources of funding SoF codes (including historic SoF codes)?
1. Open the 'Data Specifications for SDR' (docx) in Single Data Return (SDR) | TEC website.
2. In the Contents page, click on Course Completion (in the Data Specifications section) then Ctrl+Click to be taken to that section.
3. Scroll down several pages until you see Source of Funding in the Field Title column.
Which learners are reported under SoF 03?

How do we report Managed Apprenticeships?
There should be no new Managed Apprenticeship programmes reported through the SDR in 2025 or 2026, unless you have a specific arrangement with TEC.
Managed Apprenticeship learners should continue to be reported under SoF 37 until they complete their programme of study.
