Summary

This article provides information on how to report delays to course delivery in the SDR.

How do I report delivery delays in the SDR?

If your organisation cannot run the practical training of a qualification before the end of the current year, then you should change the date of this component to reflect when you will deliver it.

TEC funding is based on what is delivered, so if the practical training moves to the next year then it would be funded from that year’s allocation rather than the current year's.

If your organisation changes the dates of a course, then you'll need to reflect these updates in the SDR.

Notes:

  • If you change the start and end dates of the course to the following calendar year:
    • students would essentially be withdrawn for the original year and re-enrolled in the new year.
  • If you are keeping the same start date but considering an extension of the end date:
    • use the Student Course Completion indicator 0 for 'Still to complete course - valid extension' (NZQCF Levels 1-8).
    • Note: If a course duration is extended, this could impact the students' eligibility for student allowances. Contact Studylink to determine the impact on student allowance/loan entitlements.
